GTR is in support of Lockheed Martin’s BDU-59B/B Enhanced Laser Guided Training Round (ELGTR). Here is a link to that product that Lockheed Martin is currently manufacturing in Archbald, Pennsylvania. LMMFC has manufactured over 200,000 ELGTRs/LGTRs.

I get plenty of training in employing JDAMs and LJDAMs and don't need anything else.

If I had an affordable JDAM/LJDAM training round that would allow for more captive carry time and drops, that would help with my combat effectiveness.

How many GTRs should be carried on a normal training sortie to enable the most valuable training impact?

I would like to be able to use the GTR in limited off-axis scenarios using GPS and GPS/LASER.

I would like the GTR moding and LASER codes to be fully selectable on the cockpit MFDs.

It is acceptable for the GTR to have a reduced LAR (it only weighs 100lbs so it can't glide as far as all JDAMs) vs. the selected store.

It would be helpful if the GTR were compatible with the CMBRE (Ground/Maintenance test/programming equipment).

There is value in maintenance personnel and ordnance loaders to unpack, inspect, train, test, program, upload and download (if not dropped) 100 lb. GTRs.

An affordable GTR that could be used to check GPS satellite acquisition on all the different stations even without dropping them would be beneficial.

Having a GTR that fits (doesn't have a huge glide range and is an inert training munition) on a conventional US /International weapons range is an important aspect to making it usable on today’s available impact areas/zones threatened with encroachment.

Some Day a GTR should simulate an SDBII, LRASM, JASSM, and other complex weapons so I can train better with an affordable alternate.
